    Description

Auction is for the item in title and photos and description above.
Verne Lewellen played in 102 games for the Packers from 1924 to 1932.  He was a part of the Packers Championships in 1929, 1930, and 1931.  He mainly played halfback and punter but there were occasions where he also played quarterback. In 1929, he played the entire 60 minutes as QB against the New York Giants, defeating them 20-6, helping the team cruise to their first NFL Championship.
He returned to the Packers and worked as general manager from 1954 to 1958.  Vince Lombardi replaced him as GM in 1959.  At that point,  he became business manager and continued in that capacity until 1967.  He was inducted into the Wisconsin Athletic Hall of Fame in 1967, and into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame in 1970.  He was one of 4 packer finalists to be considered for the NFL Hall of Fame in 2020.  Due to the time period he played in, statistics recorded today were not recorded back then.
